Jan Olsen-congratulations you are the proud new owner of a “blue” or purple hibiscus. Alyogyne or blue hibiscus is a profuse spring bloomer. It is slightly more cold and heat tolerant than it’s Chinese cousins but probably doesn’t bloom as much of the year. Plant it in full to filtered sun make sure it has good drainage and enjoy!
